Over time, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic drove consumers around the world towards changed shopping attitudes. In fact, just under 40 percent of consumers in the United Kingdom (UK) stated they had reduced the amount of non-essential purchases they make and their impulse buying behavior in 2021 compared to pre-COVID-19 times. About a fifth of shoppers in the UK also said their preferences in terms of brands had changed.
