According to a survey conducted in Europe in 2020, 70 percent of diabetes sufferers reported it was not at all difficult to obtain their medication prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, although this dropped to below 50 percent during the pandemic. Furthermore, 11 percent of people living with diabetes said it was difficult to access medication during the pandemic.
