According to a survey conducted in August 2021, around 30 percent of female respondents in Japan aged 40 to 69 years old went to dental clinics less frequently than before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. An overall share of about 21 percent visited dentists less often than they used to before the spread of COVID-19.
