Educational attainment in Norway in 2011-2023
From 2011 to 2023, the share of people between 15 and 64 years of age with a tertiary education in Norway increased. Whereas 38 percent had a tertiary education in 2011, the share had increased to 42 in 2023. Meanwhile, the share of the working-age population with am upper secondary education decreased from 44 percent in 2011 to 34 in 2023. In 2023, roughly 24 percent of the Norwegians between 15 and 64 years of age had only completed a primary or lower secondary education.
