Compared to the start of the century, garden centers in the United States achieved high revenues in 2020. Whereas the financial crisis of 2008 led to a decrease in revenues, the 2020 coronavirus pandemic caused a spectacular surge in sales for the average garden center. Compared to 2004, the average revenue of garden centers associated with the Garden Center Group was more that 50 percent higher.
