In 2020, as the schools were closed due to the global coronavirus pandemic, government and private schools in India delivered learning materials to students through various online and offline medium. However, not all students received learning material during school courses. Only around 28 percent rural households and around 36 percent rural households with students studying in standard one to three in government and private schools received learning materials respectively.
