NFT sales in various segments in the last 30 days up to December 2, 2021
Collectibles made up nearly of half of all NFT sales in November 2021, outperforming NFTs related to metaverses and art. NFTs made headlines in 2021 due to increasing number of sales and in particular due to the sales of Beeple's "Everyday: the First 5000 Days", which became the world's most expensive NFT sold for 69 million U.S. dollars. Since then, NFT sales volume skyrocketed, reaching a total of over 10 billion U.S. dollars as of November 12, 2021. In the 30 days leading up to November 12, 2021, NFT sales in the collectibles segment alone exceeded 600 million U.S. dollars.
