According to a survey conducted in 2021, around 63 percent of regular online shopping consumers in Australia used multiple Buy Now Pay Later accounts because their current BNPL service was not offered by the website or store where they wanted to make a purchase. Among the respondents, the second leading reason to have multiple BNPL accounts was the consumers taking part in promotion or sales of another service.
