The number of passengers of the Buenos Aires rapid transit system, commonly known as "Subte", reported an overall increase between 2015 and 2019 peaking in 2018 at 339 million passengers. In 2019, the ridership of the subway in the Argentinian capital dropped by four percent, reaching 327 million. Buenos Aires is the largest city in Argentina, counting over 15 million inhabitants.
