Footwear consumer price index by segment in Canada 2016-2020
Consumer Price Index (CPI) of all footwear segments in Canada had a relatively stable profile between 2016 and 2019. However, in 2020, prices in all segments fell, with largest decline registered in children's footwear category. Despite this decrease, children's footwear category had the highest CPI compared to other segments, with an index value of 97.6. Men's footwear ranked second in the same year with a CPI of 95.4.
