Approximate money spent on offerings on Día de los Muertos in Mexico 2021
According to a survey conducted in 2021, among Mexicans who usually celebrate the Day of the Dead and place an offering, 26.3 percent spent more than 500 Mexican pesos on the offerings during this holiday. Only 4.5 percent of respondents spent less than 100 pesos on this date. Furthermore, 46 percent of respondents planned to place an offering to celebrate this traditional holiday and nearly 96 percent usually lights candles.
