Online marketplaces' websites encourage users to add products to their shopping carts. Amazon displays promoted products in different ways, but some recommendations proved to be more successful than others.
A 2021 poll conducted in the United States showed that almost one in two users clicked on the products other users bought in combination with the article they had already selected. Another 35.3 percent of Amazon shoppers would click on suggestions for items others have purchased after viewing them.
