During a 2021 survey carried out among consumers from the United States, 21 percent of respondents stated that they wanted brands to use more of TikTok for marketing purposes. The most commonly named platform was Facebook, with 60 percent. Brands invested nearly 48 billion U.S. dollars in social media advertising in the U.S. in 2021.
