According to a survey of smartphone users in ten global markets conducted between December 2020 and January 2021, approximately three in ten Android users reported receiving business messages via WhatsApp. By comparison, the share iOS users indicating they received business messages from companies via mobile on WhatsApp were 13 percent of the total. The Japanese communication platform Line saw 13 percent of iOS responders indicating it as their most common business mobile messaging channel used to receive messages from companies.
