Contribution of deprivation to overall multidimensional poverty in India 2021
As of 2021, approximately 40 percent of multi dimensionally poor population in India was reportedly deprived in the standard of living dimension. According to the source, deprivation in standard of living was determined by the deprivation in six equally weighted indicators: cooking fuel, sanitation, drinking water, electricity, housing, and assets. Aside from the standard of living dimension, multidimensional poverty is also measured by deprivation in the health and education dimensions.
