Between 2019 and 2020, the number of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals completed in the Middle East and North Africa increased, whereas the opposite occurred in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2020, there were over 400 M&A deals completed in the Middle East, which was a seven percent increase over 2019.
