Sanitation and water facilities availability in Nigeria 2022
In Nigeria, about 31 percent of the population had limited handwashing facilities as of 2021. By comparison, about 38 percent Nigerians had no handwashing facility at home. Moreover, 19 percent used unimproved sanitation facilities. In terms of population size, Nigeria is among the countries worldwide with the largest number of people lacking this facility.
