Between 2019 and 2020, the number of merger and acquisition (M&A) deals completed in the United States and China increased, whereas the opposite occurred in the United Kingdom and Germany. In 2020, there were almost 11,000 M&A deals completed in the United States, which was a six percent increase over 2019.
