In Nigeria, about 80 percent of the population used at least basic drinking water services as of 2022. This means that nearly eight out of 10 Nigerians used an improved drinking water source, where collection time is not more than 30 minutes for a round trip, including queuing. Furthermore, around 64 percent of individuals in Nigeria used improved drinking water sources available when needed.
