According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021 in Taiwan, the largest share of respondents stated that they spent the same amount per purchase and did not change their shopping frequency. Around 33 percent of respondents stated that they spent more per purchase but shopped less frequently.
