According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021 in Hong Kong, a majority of male and female shoppers stated that they spent 500 Hong Kong dollars or less on average during in-store shopping trips. In contrast, 27 percent of both male and female respondents reported that they spent between 501 and 1,000 Hong Kong dollars on average.
