4G, 5G and LPWA-LTE digital factory connection revenue in the United States is expected to reach 158 million U.S. dollars in 2025 and to surpass one billion dollars by 2030. Chinese factories are forecast to account for 1.5 billion dollars by 2030.
The increase in revenue comes as factories around the world move away from fixed-line connections, taking advantage of the faster services offered by technologies such as 5G. According to the source, 89 percent of digital factory connections were fixed-line in 2019, and many of those are set to go wireless in the coming years.
