According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021 in Taiwan, the majority of the non-grocery shoppers preferred a mix of online and offline retail shopping before the COVID-19 pandemic. During the survey, around 66 percent of the respondents reported that they opted for a mix of both retail channels when shopping for non-grocery items such as fashion and electronics.
