Households receiving benefits under the PMGKY package in India 2020

According to a survey conducted between May and August 2020, the PMGKY (Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana) package reached just under 80 percent of households in India. Meanwhile, more than 87 percent of the poorest households reportedly received at least one social protection benefit under this scheme. From May to August 2020, around 40 percent of surveyed Indian households received food aid, whereas only six percent of households received cash transfers.
