Large and medium scale producers had a share of 71 percent in Tanzania's total gold production in the financial year 2019/2020. According to the source, such producers registered an output of roughly 38.2 thousand kilograms of gold. Nearly 30 percent of the precious metal production originated in small-scale producers - about 15.6 thousand kilograms of gold.
