According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021, a majority of respondents in Thailand reported that they changed their preferred time to go shopping during the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, around 69 percent of the respondents stated that they avoided shopping during peak hours. In contrast, about eight percent of the participants in the country stated that they had less time now to shop due to work and other priorities.
