In a survey on shopping behavior in Malaysia conducted by Rakuten Insight, 59 percent of female respondents and 53 percent of male respondents stated that they would not go shopping offline as often to avoid crowds for fear of COVID infection. Meanwhile, 11 percent of them reportedly preferred the convenience of online shopping over visiting physical stores.
