During the third quarter of 2021, the time spent by users in the United Kingdom on mobile gaming apps increased to 909 million hours, up by almost 10 percent from the previous quarter. Entertainment apps registered almost 250 million hours of engagement from users in the country. Shopping apps engagement levels remained consistent with the previous quarter, with U.K. users spending 120 million hours on apps from this category. By comparison, usage of food and drinks apps kept experiencing a stable growth trend in the most recently examined quarter.
