In July 2021, more than one-fourth – 25.8 percent – of internet users in Mexico listened to podcasts at least once a month. In Brazil and Argentina, the usage rates stood at 24.5 and 19.2 percent, respectively. Earlier that year, La Corneta – a news program broadcast by the Mexican radio LOS40, run by Madrid-based Grupo Prisa – was the most downloaded podcast in Latin America.
