In the third quarter of 2021, consumers in the United States spent almost seven billion U.S. dollars on mobile gaming apps, down by three percent compared to the second quarter of 2021. Food and drinks apps saw a modest decrease in consumer spending in the examined period, generating around four million U.S. dollars in revenues. By comparison, shopping apps continued experiencing a growth trend, reaching approximately 19 million U.S. dollars in consumer spending from U.S. users. Additionally, entertainment apps saw 933 million U.S. dollars in consumer spending in the most recently examined quarter.
