According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021, approximately 61 percent of the respondents aged between 45 to 54 years old in Thailand stated that they shopped less frequently in physical stores during the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, around 33 percent of the participants who were 55 years old and older stated that the frequency of their in-store shopping remained the same as before the virus outbreak in the country.
