In 2023, the construction industry in Ghana contributed around 11.5 billion Ghanaian cedis (GHS), roughly 775.5 million U.S. dollars, to the country's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In the previous year, a lower value of around 12.7 billion GHS were registered. Within the period observed, the peak of the value added was achieved in 2021, at roughly 13.7 billion GHS. Overall, construction is one of the leading industries in Ghana in terms of GDP contribution.
