The average wholesale electricity price in Switzerland amounted to 81.07 euros per megawatt-hour in September 2024, a decrease from the previous month. An energy supply shortage caused a rise in coal and natural gas prices worldwide increase in 2021, a trend further aggravated by Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
