According to a survey conducted in 2021 among selected Asia-Pacific countries, most consumers found advertisements on over-the-top (OTT) video platforms only of remote relevance. Although only 13 percent of Australian consumers perceived ads on OTT platforms as very relevant, the same survey revealed that among these mentioned platforms, OTT offered the most engaging ads and had the most influence on product selection and purchase among consumers in Australia.
