According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021 in India, 65 percent of female and 67 percent of male respondents reported that once COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, they planned to go shopping in physical stores as frequently as they did before the pandemic. A smaller share of both cohorts reported that they would not be shopping as frequently in physical stores.
