Munich Re's carbon dioxide emissions increased from 2020 to 2022, rising by over 5,000 metric tons to reach almost 80,000 metric tons of CO2. However, the overall trend has been a downward one with Munich Re's carbon dioxide emissions shrinking from 103,024 metric tons in 2018 to 79,705 metric tons five years later. The carbon emissions per employee of Munich Re followed the same trend.
