In 2022, the total volume production of iron in Egypt reached 6,000 metric tons. This was roughly the same value compared to the previous year. During the period under review, production of iron increased until 2017, when it peaked at just over 254 metric tons. Since 2018, a general decline in the production of iron in the country can be observed.
