Around 30 percent of consumers in Nigeria would pay more for higher quality wine, according to a survey conducted in 2018. This was the highest share registered among the surveyed countries in Africa. In Ethiopia, 21 percent of respondents were willing to pay more for premium wines, while 17 percent reported the same in Cote d'Ivoire.
