According to a survey on retail shopping conducted by Rakuten Insight in June 2021 in the Philippines, majority of male and female shoppers stated that they shopped in physical stores less as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, 64 percent of male respondents and 73 percent of female resspondents reported a reduction in the frequency of in-store shopping.
