Share of U.S. consumers that only shopped online for selected products 2019-2021
In 2020, about 29 percent of surveyed consumers in the United States said they did all of their food shopping online. In 2019 and 2021, the share of Americans purely shopping for food digitally was around 20 percent. In 2020, there had been a spike in online shopping for food, health & beauty care products, and household goods, which was largely driven by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
