According to a survey conducted in October 2020, about 86 percent of business establishments in Japan with 1,000 employees or more had staff reported more than 45 to 80 hours of overtime or work hours on day-offs in July 2020. Additionally, about 41 percent of those large businesses let employees work over 80 hours of overtime in the same month.
