Roughly 50 percent of shoppers intended to buy themselves at least one of a given list of options as a 2021 holiday treat for themselves. Almost a third of shoppers planned to buy themselves some new clothing, making it the most popular answer. Travel and beauty treatments were the next two most common answers. At the bottom of the list were the five percent of consumers who were looking to make the most significant purchase, a new home.
