In particular, in 2020, the market for pharmaceutical drugs experienced a sharp decrease of 3.3 percent in total expenditure. These figures include percentage change in expenditure for both prescription and nonprescription drugs. In 2021 this decreasing trend stopped with an increase in expenditure on pharmaceuticals of two percent.
