According to a survey of Singaporeans' retirement knowledge as well as their engagement in the Central Provident Fund (CPF) in May 2021, 35 percent of respondents aged 35 to 44 years in Singapore did not feel confident they would have enough money for retirement. This age group is sometimes referred to as the sandwiched generation, as they tend to bear the responsibilities of taking care of their young children as well as their elderly parents. This situation could make it challenging to save enough for their retirement.
