Sports programming on television is one of the most popular ways for sports fans to get the latest news on their favorite teams and leagues. However, it seems that the coverage on televised sports news and highlights programs is not equal across all sports leagues. In 2019, just 5.4 percent of sports programming on television was devoted to women's sports, while around 91 percent focused on men's sports.
