Europe: top M&A legal advisors, by value 2021

Sullivan & Cromwell was the leading legal advisor to M&A deals in Europe in terms of value during the first half of 2021. The American law firm assisted companies in M&A deals worth approximately 74 billion U.S. dollars combined. Second in the ranking was Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, based in the United Kingdom, legal advisor to M&A transactions worth a total of 72 billion U.S. dollars. The ranking is based on the dominant geography and sector focus of the M&A target entity.
