The figures for Catholic and Evangelic believers in Peru show opposite trends, according to a survey conducted in the country between 1995 and 2020. In 1995, Catholics made up for nearly 90 percent of the population, while in 2020 this figure fell to 69.4 percent. Despite it, Peru remains one of the Latin American countries with the largest share of Catholic believers. In the same time frame, the share of Evangelists grew from 3.8 to 17.5 percent.
