Between July 2020 and April 2021, a total of 67 percent of newly-hired editorial staff at Insider were female or non-binary, whereas 33 percent of new hires in editorial teams were male. The share of female and non-binary people hired to work as non-editorial staff was a little lower at 58 percent.
