According to the Gallery Climate Coalition, a UK-based charity focusing on developing responses to the climate crisis within the art market, total CO2 emissions of the art fair Frieze London in the United Kingdom (UK) decreased in 2019 over the previous year. For instance, CO2 emissions per visitor dropped from around 3.4 kilograms in 2018 to 1.5 kilograms in 2019. Over the same period, total CO2 emissions of the art fair declined by over 199 metric tons. According to the study, the decline in the London Frieze's carbon footprint was mainly driven by a decrease in the use of diesel.
