A July 2021 study focused on understanding the main factors impeding art dealers' sales worldwide in the first half of 2021. According to the survey, 96 percent of European art dealers noted the sales barriers created by COVID-19 restrictions as an obstacle to sales. Although only 38 percent of respondents from Europe claimed Brexit regulations were an impediment to sales, 77 percent of survey participants from the United Kingdom mentioned Brexit regulations as an important factor negatively influencing business.
